Sintered Neodymium Magnets are anisotropic Materials in all the grades we listed, that means Sintered Neodymium Magnet will be oriented for their magnetic direction during production process. Oriented the magnetic direction means that direction will be a preferred direction of magnetization, magnetized the magnet in this direction will get the max magnetic value which we would like to have. And Different From Sintered Alnico Magnets, Sintered Neodymium Magnets need to be oriented during pressing process in a magnetic field. That makes Sintered Neodymium Magnets could not be easy to make some difficult magnetic direction.

Sintered Neodymium “Block” magnets, if only one north and one south pole, They can be polarized in any direction. They can be oriented in a parallel magnetic field, then the direction of the magnetic field is just magnetic direction of this magnet. And usually the pressed part is bigger than the magnet we would like to have, that this pressed magnet will be cut to the size we would like after they are sintered and made of their magnetic properties.
But the direction have been decided during production,it not mean that you can change the magnetic direction when you magnetize them by a magnetizer. Magnetic direction in a line is the most ordinary direction.
The magnetic direction for Sintered Neodymium Disc are usually Axially Magnetized or Diametrically Magnetized.

Radial Ring Magnetization is one type of special direction, of course it is available in Neodymium magnets but there will be many limitations in ally grades, outside diameter and inside diameter ratio, and we need to design a specialized tooling for this part during production. It is because usually sintered Neodymium magnet are pressed in a parallel magnetic field,but for radial ring, there must be a radial magnetic field for this part.
An arc radius magnetization is one type of magnetic direction difficult to achieve, they are usually specialized produced and usually will take too much cost. But usually there is be a replaced way, an approximated radial Arc can be chose. The direction will be a type of parallel magnetic field from in to out.
Circumferential orientation and magnetization is not available for sintered Neodymium Arc Magnet, it is impossible to press the magnet in such a magnetic field, this type magnet only Alnico and FeCrCo can achieve. There usually be a replaced method, the approximated circumferential arc is like picture showing.
